At Ameri-Force, we often speak about the importance of long-term thinking — not just for our business, but for the industries and communities we serve. Today, I’m proud to share an important milestone that reflects that commitment: the launch of our first Pipefitter Trainee cohort through the Ameri-Force Academy.

This inaugural group of trainees represents more than the start of a new program. It represents an investment in people, in opportunity, and in the future of the skilled trades. Workforce shortages across shipbuilding, manufacturing, and industrial sectors are well documented, and they are not challenges that will be solved overnight. Meaningful progress requires collaboration, preparation, and a willingness to build solutions from the ground up.

That is why partnerships matter. Through our collaboration with Austal USA and Coastal Alabama Community College, we have brought together industry, education, and workforce development to create a clear pathway into shipbuilding careers. This program is designed to provide hands-on training, technical skill development, and the foundation for long-term professional growth — all while aligning with the real-world needs of today’s job sites.

To the trainees who make up this first cohort: congratulations. Choosing to pursue a career in the trades is a meaningful decision, and one that carries both responsibility and opportunity. The skills you are developing are essential to the strength of our industry and the success of critical projects nationwide. We are excited to support you as you take this important step forward.

As we look ahead, initiatives like the Ameri-Force Academy reinforce my optimism about the future of our business and our industry. When we invest in people, prepare for tomorrow’s workforce needs, and work alongside trusted partners, we create momentum that benefits everyone involved.
